The Alleria Curse

I am not making this up.
Pompom left and in her place, I mean EXACTLY in the same spot as her place, this young lady showed up. Mallary. Aaaaaaaaaaaa duck.
Having thought the Alleria Duck Hunt was a success (never mind complete), this cruel cruel joke was played on me. Or maaaaaaybe Alleria is positioned perfectly in the migration path, making this a great stop over for traveling ducks. Either way, I am not happy. The Alleria Curse is ducks.
Here we go again.

Other than that 'exciting' tidbit of news, all is quiet in Alleria. No visitors for awhile save for the first visit from Blanca.

It was a surprise to see her finally show up. I wasn't sure if she would or not. You see, in previous experiences I've had to pick up the phone and ban her from coming through the town gates because she did so to the point of annoyment (that's not a word, is it?). Anyhow, I was kind of glad to be able to say I've met her. So....I've met Blanca. There.

Even with nothing exciting happening around town, I've still managed to slack when it comes to catching new fish and bugs. Even so, it was hard to miss this one.

Little booger moves pretty fast. I also managed to catch the pond skater but haven't got a chance to grab the diving beetle. I think I saw one once but I was doing something or other and didn't track it down.

Even though I'm the only one that plays, there is a secret resident of Alleria who only awakens if I need to replace a pattern on the pathways. My boyfriends character, Rob. I woke him up the other day for something and noticed the sexy bed hair.

Once fully awake, Rob took a trip into the city to learn an emotion and get a balloon from Phineas. We tried to take a picture of a sad disheveled man holding a balloon (artsy, ya know?) but these are as close as we could get:

The last one looks like he dropped a coin and is looking for it.

Avery has been spending a lot of time at the Roost.

Two different days and in the same spot. Maybe he's becoming a regular? Or he enjoys Brewsters' company? Either way I spent a good 10 minutes searching for him in town.

Let's see....
Oh. Here's a bit of useless trivia. The pink zap suit outfit clearly matches many members of the AC community.

Here I am, clearly resembling Vladimir......

Pink 'lil Chrissy and her yellow tuft of hair match the outfit.....

Blanca looked a bit like a heroine....

Even manly manly Snake! Apparently, pink with yellow accent is all the rage in Alleria.
Although, it did seem to depress Snake that he resembled a girl.

No, I'm just kidding. He was sick that day.

Before we wrap things up, the Alleria Chamber of Commerce has a message:

Huh. Even I didn't know that.

The Adventures of Snake

With Miranda out of the picture, it wasn't long before Alleria greeted our newest resident.
Whoooo could it be?

Snake! I've heard about this Snake before...wearing a ninja hood, being all jocky...was this weirdo going to fit into our tight-knit community?
He already had a couple of points in his favor. He moved right into Miranda's old spot, very graciously sparing the untouched spots in town. He was unique. And he oddly looked like a cross between Gaston and Vladimir, which is probably the best thing.
It wasn't long before we found out.

Whaaaa?!
This. Guy. Is. AWESOME!
He has the best personality, keeping all of Alleria entertained with his insanely ridiculous statements. He moved in and quickly became a prized member of the community. He literally put on the official Alleria shirt and started his crazy hijinks.
True to his outfit, it seems like he's the ninja of town. I've already found him sneaking about.

No, this isn't a game of Hide and Seek. He's just hiding behind the museum. Being a ninja.

I guess while he's busy with his official ninja duties, he also eavesdrops on the townies and reports back to me.

Yay! We love veggies!!

And it wasn't long before he invited himself over to my house for a visit.

I think he came in the window.
He also took it upon himself to critique my house.

But he also had some praise for his new buddy.

Lemme tell you, it's a great relief to finally have an unexpectedly awesome new neighbor move in.
But Snake isn't the only story in town.

Pete went on to say that Pelly was too young for him, that he's looking for somebody more mature...hmm...like Phyllis?
Barf. Drama.

Also, Nook brought up the dreaded quesion of which store I would prefer yesterday.

I decided to downgrade to Nook 'n Go. I need the late hours, especially on the weekend. 9 PM closing time just doesn't cut it for fishing and late-night play.

I've been meaning to arrange my flowers for maximum hybrid growing but haven't gotten around to that daunting task. But the other day, I walked around and found that Alleria must have been throwing up pink cosmos.

As you can see, I added them to my measly collection of hybrids. Wooo! Go us!

A recent trip to the city showed that animals I've never met before somehow know who I am.

Huh. You learn something new everyday.

And finally, it seems like the causalities from the Alleria Duck Hunt aren't quite done.

Wooo! She wasn't here long but she already wants out. Of course I'm letting her go. Wait...which means...Deena! The wiiinnaaaa of the Duck Hunt! She's the sole survivor and the lucky grand prize winner of, erm, staying in town a little longer than the other ducks. Your bland personality helped keep you hidden and out the spotlight. Congratulations, Deena!

Quick! An update!

K.K. may have riveting performances but I still find myself falling asleep sometimes.

First off, let me say I am soooo sorry there hasn't been an update.
My boyfriends' computer got a virus and was down for a good week.
And yes, this is the computer that I use. So I had no way to update. So here we go, I'll give you all the info super quick so I can catch everybody up on the happenings in Alleria!

Wendell stopped by awhile ago and very kindly exchanged a Tom Nook pattern for a delicious apple. Sometime in the future I'd like to use that pattern to make a directional marker for vistors to find Nookingtons', going from the town gate and spread intermittently through town to point friends in the right direction. But then again, look how long it took me to lay decent paths? This may be awhile...for now it sits in Able Sisters' along with K.K. Slider.

And finally! I got the golden watering can. Gee, it seems more than two weeks since I announced the accidental PTS, right? Weeeell, about 13 days into it, some tricky weeds were hiding that I didn't catch and one or two flowers must have vanished that day because after checking the status, the next day I checked again and had the dreaded C+/D- evaluation. After panicking and planting more flowers and trees everywhere (that's what you get when you don't have your acres marked and can't tell where the screw up is!) I got it back to PTS but not soon enough apparently. I had to start the timer all over again. And obviously, I made it. Woot~!

As expected, Miranda moved out of Alleria. It turned out to be a little sad, though. I guess I was more attached to her than I expected.

What a sweet sweet letter!
When I checked the message board, an announcement of that day being her birthday was posted. How sad! She left home on her birthday....so not being able to wish her a good day personally, I payed my respects at her dirt spot.

Pompom looking on in victory.
Why couldn't have Deena moved? She's nice, sure, but Miranda was one of the Alleria natives!
Oh well. Another one bites the dust.

A visit to the city saw a former Allerian hanging around.

Winnie didn't seem to recognize me. I tried to bring up the good times we've had but she seems to have moved on happily to wherever it is she resides.
Another city visitor brought about a good time to recruit new Allerians.

Liiiiiiiimbeeeeeerg!
Here's to hoping my efforts pay off and we get a lovely, WELCOMED new neighbor.

And I'll leave you with a few comments from our dear, dear residents.

Oh my. Pete likes it rough.

Oh, Marcel. Can you get any more adorable?

Poor Chrissy. But going up to Gracie with a shitty Alleria flag design I made in two minutes is fashion suicide.

What more could be said?

Duck Hunt

It's been pretty quiet in Alleria.
Most of us have been enjoying the endless sunshine and pretty spring flowers...not really doing a whole lot.

Static, Avery, and I played train for a bit.
And we've all had an endless amount of inane conversations.

Marcel does seem to have the most. I love him, though.
As expected, Winnie moved on to bigger and better things.

I do kind of miss her now. Especially since somebody new moved into her old spot.

Ugh. Yes, Pompom, we do.
Pompom. Another duck. That brings Alleria a total of 3 ducks: Miranda, Deena, and now Pompom. That also brings Alleria a total of 2 ducks too many.
Miranda was here originally, Deena moved in not too long ago....I believe that gives Miranda first dibs on land. I officially declare it Duck Season in Alleria. But please, if you must take a duck, I ask that you do it humanely. We're all about animal rights around here.
Other than the duck overpopulation, the only other thing of note going on is the Able Sister Drama. Yes, that whole story has finally started to unravel in Alleria.

Label?

Ohhh, Labelle.
Yawn.
Before Pompom moved in, I re-started my campaign to convince Gaston to move to Alleria.

He mostly ignored me when I stopped him in the square at the city. So I took to disguising myself in the hopes he would mistake me for a friend.

I guess it didn't work so well....

I even offered him a balloon!
(One day, Phineas and I were a matching pair!)

And I guess that the word got around that I was recruiting a new Allerian. When I ran into an old pal, Vladimir, I suggested he pack up and move on over. He wasn't very receptive either.

Meh.
After getting ran out of the city, I retired to stalking the neighbors of Alleria.

BUBBLE ATTACK!

What can I say? I live in a town with 10 animals. I think it would drive anybody a little crazy.
And today was the Fishing Tourney. Largest fish wins the purty gold trophy.

Wiiiiiiiinnnnaaaaaa.
Tomorrow is Bunny Day. I'm looking forward to tearing up all my beautiful grass looking for foil for a bunny who will exchange it for egg-shaped furniture. Hurrah.
