Pals

What with work, volunteering, and life in general I haven't had a great amount of time to spend in Alleria lately. But fear not! Things are fine and I'm always around enough each evening to water the flowers and catch up with neighbors. My apologies to anybody who has been knocking on the gates, we've been a sleepy town lately!
Speaking of watering, with my fabulous new set gardens I have had actual reason to water every single day. Even with the chore that that is, I've had some help recently:

Antonio mostly wants to follow me around and talk about his daily work-out routines but I don't mind. It's nice to have the company!

I haven't been fishing as regularly and haven't caught many new bugs. I did manage to finally find one beetle that has been escaping me (all my fault since I only allow one tree stump in town):

I'm happy to report that Chrissy and I are getting along great. There hasn't been any drama lately and I don't purposely try to avoid eye contact anymore.

Even though she is one our original townies, we've been slow to build a bond. I think that is finally happening, especially since she seems to be so interested in that lovable mutt Marcel.
I hope everything is alright with her though. I eavesdropped on a conversation between her and Blaire and was a little alarmed to hear the C-word brought up:

Cancer Mountains does not seem like it would be a fantastic place.

Speaking of original Allerians a group of us got together for a good old-fashioned game of hide 'n seek.

Three of the best neighbors you could ask for.
Although all of these guys are my close friends I have to say they are terrible hiders.
And of course what mention of Marcel is complete without the adorable quote of the week??

An 'A' for effort, buddy.

Kicks and Ticks

Greetings from Alleria.

When I'm not posing in my 1700's get-up, complete with powdered wig, things do actually happen around town!
Rhonda made her final decision and packed up and left.

Even though I was okay with her leaving, her farewell note stuffed into my mailbox left me feeling a little regretful.

Why must these letters always make me feel guilty?
"A friend who means so much to me"?
Argh!
But Rhondas demolition of her home brought a little happiness on my part.

That blue pansy was hiding behind her house and I had no idea it was there! Good thing she moved! But then again, it makes me wonder if I lost any flowers back there....hmm.

There were a couple days that got a little dull in town because of all the rain.
I was invited to the first game of hide-and-seek in a relatively long time.

That's a rag tag group of residents, don'tcha think?
I won, of course, but Merry was nice enough to send me my prize the next day because my pockets were too full of goodies already.

Not likely, Merry.
Things were so bad, nobody had open gates and nobody came to visit, that I ended up wasting time harassing Tom Nook and "sticking it to the Raccoon".

Yes, that's me, kicking the merchandise.
Nook didn't take too kindly to me causing shit in his store. As usual, he followed me around as I ran around. It didn't take long before he had enough and kicked me out when I tried kicking him.

Is it just me or does Nook look a little pudgier?
Thankfully, Static was kind enough to let me lay low in his pad until things quieted down and all was forgotten.

Literally laying low.

The best thing to happen since the last update was the Flea Market! Yes, the one time a month I make a decent amount of money.

Welcome to Sarahs' House 'o Deals!
Thanks to my two dorados, two or three gars, hammerhead and regular sharks, and ocean sunfish, I managed my best Market yet: just about 300,000 bells. Static, Avery and Antonio - my three Original Villagers - were very generous, paying at or 200 bells away from 3 times the Nook selling price. I also made a personal record selling price for one fish: 44,800 bells! Merry helped out as well but seeing Buck come in as my last customer was a bit of disappointment. Being the newest villager, our relationship just isn't as strong as the others so his buying prices were dramatically lower than others. Strategically, all my high-price fish were already sold so all that were left were rare bugs. He also only made two purchases.
But that 300,000 bells was a godsend. I was able to deposit 200,000 of it in full for the Alleria Town Fund. The rest went into the bank account, saving up for the next donation. That's right, now that my house is payed off I can start my Town Fund donations! Woohoo! We're finally moving up in the world!
Oh and because I forgot to mention this in my last update, Buck leaked some top secret information to me. Apparently, all is not peaceful in the land.

That's right Krategan. Watch yo' backs. Buck is coming for you.

That's all for now. Until next time....

Out and about

Our dear friend Moe has left Alleria.

A stark brown patch of dirt among a sea of green grass is all that's left to remind us that Moe's house once stood here. That plus an advertisement for Tom Nook.
He did leave me a sweet note in my mailbox.

I'll miss you too, Moe.

It seems like spring fever has spread around Alleria. Everybody is out and about, enjoying the sun and playing games of hide and seek. The other day, Astrid invited me to join her, Miranda, and Rhonda in a game.

Girls only! Well, little did they know....I happen to rock at seeking out large colorful animals who pick out terrible hiding spots.

Trees are terrible hiding spots. Peeking out from behind them makes it worse.
While I didn't find Miranda in time (pizza delivery takes priority over finding a hiding pink duck), I did beat Antonio, Chrissy, and Astrid. However, my victory celebration was cut short.

A POND SMELT?! Really?
What a lame prize! I guess the joke was on me...

It seems like Lady Luck has been by Alleria.
1.) Wendell stopped by for a visit and gifted a horizontal (I think) path.

2.) Museum of Alleria has another completed dinosaur - the dimetrodon!

3.) I got my silver shovel from Resetti!

Yes! I don't check religiously to see if the cone is moved but last night I decided to head over to the city and check. And it was!
For some reason, the best picture wouldn't save so when I left Resetti's surveillance center I went to try again and accidentally took another picture. D'oh! I hate how you can only have one picture at a time...I lost a true rare moment - Resetti handing over my new shovel. Oh well.
Before I went home for the night, I checked the cities main square and found an old friend.

GAAAAAAASTON!
Anybody who visited me in the 'wild world' of Kradia knows that Gaston and I were best of buds. It was so nice to see him visiting the City.
By the way Gaston, Alleria is looking for a new neighbor!!
