Traveling Abroad

First off, I just want to thank everybody for their wonderful response to my call-out for friends!
You guys rock and I can't wait to visit with each and every one of you.
Also note that you are subject to appearing in this blog when we connect!

In celebration of perfect town status (which somehow continues!) I splurged and bought that lovely pink argyle top at GracieGrace. I'm not a big fan of pink but I do love argyle prints! And I figured, why not get the glasses to go with it? And do my shoes?
So I was a bit surprised that I totally digged my new matching look!

Ooo-la-la!

And I'm also digging the Jacob Ladder's that are popping up all over town. They look very pretty and are a nice difference from the usual flowers. Even ladybugs like them.

Marcel was talking about having a stew party the other day. Sweet Marcel, even thought of keeping us vegetarians in town included! As long as there is no fish...

Bean? Yum! Veggie? Double yum! LENTIL?! I love you, Marcel!

I think Static was leaning towards fish. Darn him!

Alleria has been relatively drama-free. Leave it to the new girl in town to start causing problems.

Blaire said something about watching what you say in town. Knowing Antonio as well as I do, there is no way he's spreading rumors or saying rude things. Sorry Blaire, drama queens aren't tolerated in Alleria!

Out of the blue, Rhonda asked me over to her house. As was the case with Static when he invited me over, I think Rhonda has been hit with a case of the lonelys. Exhibits A, B, and C:

Ohhhh man. I don't know if I should feel bad or what. Rhonda is nice enough, she's my next door neighbor, but we aren't all that close or anything. I have a feeling Rhonda may be better off living elsewhere....somewhere more exciting, perhaps?

Thanks to all the new friends of Alleria, I was able to explore two new towns yesterday. The first one was Kashi in Kashton.
Kashton had a cool town map. Sort of similar to mine but with better building placement than Alleria.

Unfortunately when I stopped by, Kashi was away. So we didn't get to speak but I got a great chance to check out her town. As soon as I stepped through the gate, I was impressed.

Woah! I'd never seen such an awesome town gate! It makes me feel bland and boring!
And I guess Kashi got the memo about Matching Day:

Kashton is a beautiful town. As you can see, they have a cool stone path with flowers lining most of it. The hybrids were abundant and looked fabulous placed inbetween normal flowers.
I can't wait to visit Kashton again!

After leaving a message at the town bulletin board, I headed back to Alleria. But it wasn't long before I found another open gate. This time it was Katie in Stephens. This town was only three days old!

Stephens was a little harder to get around. Maybe it was partly because I wasn't used to the layout but it's too bad that right hand part of town doesn't have a way to get to the lower level of the town. A little difficult getting where you want to go. And is it just me or does Nook's look like it's in the middle of nowhere or what?!
Even so, Stephens is a nice town that has a lot of potential.

Katie was working on planting trees so I brought her some apples, pears, and coconuts. They were much appreciated and I was grateful for the chance to check out her town. I can't wait to see Stephens grow and prosper!

While out meeting new friends and checking out their towns, I came across something cool. This is Elise. She has BY FAR the most stylish room I've ever seen a villager have.

Stylish yet functional! And I do love that cityscape wallpaper. I think it's one of my favorites. Elise, you're welcome to come to Alleria anytime and give us some decorating tips!

When I got home from work today, I found this in my mailbox:

How sweet!
And included was one of her gorgeous blue pansies! Alleria needs more hybrids so this was the perfect gift.
I can't wait to do more traveling!

Alleria needs more friendsies!

Sometimes it gets awfully lonely in Alleria.
We're looking for trustworthy friends who play on a regular basis and leave their gates open from time to time. We'll return the offer!

* I don't have Wii Speak. I do have a keyboard but I'm not big on chatting....I like to explore, visit with neighbors, have contests, etc.

* I'll respect your town rules! You've worked as hard on your town as I have (probably harder, lol). I don't run, I stick on paths, and don't screw around with other peoples flowers and/or trees. I expect the same from you.

I'm pretty tired of playing with people on ACC and never seeing them online again. Or having really immature people wanting to come over. I know there are mature adults out there who play this game! Let's play!

Perfection

Greetings from Alleria.

The past week has been another busy one in town. Wendell stopped by and supplied us with a horizontal path.

Sometime soon I'll spend some time editing the two paths Wendell has bestowed upon me and I'll lay a nicer path in our quaint little village. When I have the time...

Oh! Great News. Astrid moved!

Erm, obviously I couldn't contain myself. So long Astrid! Woo!

Last weeks fishing tourney was a huge success.

Crucian Carp was the name of the game and my 13.8 incher snagged the trophy.
I didn't have any competition because my record stayed all day...I think I beat my own records three different times. I even had my own cheering squad in Antonio.

He even lent me his secret:

Focusing on the one type of fish helped me concentrate solely on the river. I tend to head towards the ocean for recreational fishing so I was able to catch two fish I hadn't snagged for the museum yet.

After the fishing marathon, I had to stock up for the flea market the next day. I didn't get a whole lot of good fish so I was kind of disappointed.
Luckily I was able to head over to Rhonda's and Marcel's to purchase some stringfish that I had sold them at the last flea market. $15,000 each and I was able to sell them for $44,000 and then buy one more AGAIN from a silly neighbor to sell.
*sigh*
I'm ashamed at my dirty capitalist methods but what am I suppose to do? Not pay my mortgage? Oh well.
It seemed like my neighbors were eager to buy my over-priced fish.
Antonio made a particularly loud entrance:

And my good bud Static thought he was going to a party:

After selling a ton of fish and doing my part to make Allerian houses over-loaded with fish, I made a good amount of money. Which of course went directly to Tom Nook.

After a busy weekend imagine my surprise to find this on Monday morning:

Whaaa?! Really?!

Yessssssss~!
So let me take some time to discuss my Perfect Town Strategy.

I don't have one.

Yeah, I know people work their asses off dividing out their towns into perfect plots - counting the squares, planting the exact amount of trees and flowers to insure a fool-proof way to stay in the green for 15 days.
In all my time living in towns with animals, I've always planted trees where it
looked like there might be a need for a tree or two. In the wild world of Kradia, I planted my flowers in neat little gardens. Here in Alleria my flower planting strategy has solely been to plant in ugly patches of dirt. Especially where those ugly patches ran into a path I was making.
It doesn't exactly make for a beautiful looking town or a Perfect Town but, hey, it works.
I've never hasseled over making my town perfect. It just happens when it happens. So we'll see how long it keeps up.
As of today it's been almost 7 days. We've got 3 pretty Jacob Ladder's growing cliff side. I'm proud of Alleria and its ruggedness. Hopefully we can hold out for another week.

But hey. I can't brag. We may be perfect but we sure as hell are still clumsy.

ANYWAY.
After Astrid left it wasn't long before we had a new neighbor.

Wait a minute...Blaire? Don't I know you from somewhere? Oh, yes. You're currently living in Kradia. Weird. Two different worlds at once.

And finally! This town finally got some Pikmin love!

I could of easily gotten the hat from those that had received it AGES ago but I held out. And patience rewarded me with a lovely-yet-ugly full headed hat.

That's a tuna. Maybe the hats lucky!

The other day, Winnie came to me with an odd announcement.

Which is cool with me. Do whatever you want, Winnie.
But then the day after that she came up with another announcement.

I guess she feels the fish calling to her. To Mermaid Land.

And that's about all going on this past week in Alleria.
Here's two quips I couldn't pass up sharing.

It's true. I think that's why Astrid left.

When you listen to her blab 7 days a week, you learn to tune out. But this was funny.

Animal Crossing Movie

I know most people know about the movie and might have watched the sub-titled version but it's now being dubbed into English by some great fans! Six parts are up on Youtube and it sounds really great, they've done a fantastic job with it. Check it out here:

What's New?

A lot.
Sorry for no update, a sprained knee sucks.
So here's what's up in Alleria!
  • New Store!

More product, less time to sell.
  • Special Visitors!

Ran all over town for Saharah and all I got was a robo-floor.

Phineas showed up three days in a row. I scored this pin wheel, a lavender balloon, and a cool blue bunny balloon!

K.K. gave me a cool new tune that is a welcome change in the house. No more Go K.K. Rider!

Of course Pascal shows up and I forget to hand him a scallop. No Pirate's Life for me...

Finally had some company in the Roost! Had coffee with Miranda and then Kapp'n showed up!

Chatted with Pete last week.

And got my DLC gift yesterday!

  • New Catches!

Obviously it took me a couple tries. Running north and pulling out my net with the wii-remote directional pad was the winning strategy.

Marcel didn't believe me.

After hours and hours of searching, I finally caught the tuna. It's almost the end of tuna season so I was really excited about this.

After accidentally selling my last barred knifejaw, I caught one right after the tuna!

How awesome is that?!?!

Museum. Looking pretty full!
  • New Tools!

Silver watering can.

Golden sling shot.

  • New House Re-model!

So...tall!

And in other news.....

Yes! Go, go, go!
Astrid has been threatening to leave for what seems like ages. I've been whole-heartedly encouraging her to go. Anyyyyy day now, I'm hoping she'll be packed up and ready to go.
While I hate to say I don't like her, I do have to say she has been nicer than in past experiences living in the same town together.

Yeah. We'll remember you, Astrid. Now move on!

In other neighbor news, our dear buddy Static asked me over to his house! What a nice surprise!

But the small talk didn't last long. Static got down to why he actually invited me over: to buy his crap.

I went ahead and bought a folk guitar from him. As I was leaving, he stopped me to say this:

Awww, Static. He's just a little lonely. He's definitely one of my favorite current neighbors.

And that's about it. Spring is treating Alleria very well, growing lots of healthy fruit trees and lovely flowers. And we're always looking for new friends! Come visit us!

And remember:
