Quick! An update!

K.K. may have riveting performances but I still find myself falling asleep sometimes.

First off, let me say I am soooo sorry there hasn't been an update.
My boyfriends' computer got a virus and was down for a good week.
And yes, this is the computer that I use. So I had no way to update. So here we go, I'll give you all the info super quick so I can catch everybody up on the happenings in Alleria!

Wendell stopped by awhile ago and very kindly exchanged a Tom Nook pattern for a delicious apple. Sometime in the future I'd like to use that pattern to make a directional marker for vistors to find Nookingtons', going from the town gate and spread intermittently through town to point friends in the right direction. But then again, look how long it took me to lay decent paths? This may be awhile...for now it sits in Able Sisters' along with K.K. Slider.

And finally! I got the golden watering can. Gee, it seems more than two weeks since I announced the accidental PTS, right? Weeeell, about 13 days into it, some tricky weeds were hiding that I didn't catch and one or two flowers must have vanished that day because after checking the status, the next day I checked again and had the dreaded C+/D- evaluation. After panicking and planting more flowers and trees everywhere (that's what you get when you don't have your acres marked and can't tell where the screw up is!) I got it back to PTS but not soon enough apparently. I had to start the timer all over again. And obviously, I made it. Woot~!

As expected, Miranda moved out of Alleria. It turned out to be a little sad, though. I guess I was more attached to her than I expected.

What a sweet sweet letter!
When I checked the message board, an announcement of that day being her birthday was posted. How sad! She left home on her birthday....so not being able to wish her a good day personally, I payed my respects at her dirt spot.

Pompom looking on in victory.
Why couldn't have Deena moved? She's nice, sure, but Miranda was one of the Alleria natives!
Oh well. Another one bites the dust.

A visit to the city saw a former Allerian hanging around.

Winnie didn't seem to recognize me. I tried to bring up the good times we've had but she seems to have moved on happily to wherever it is she resides.
Another city visitor brought about a good time to recruit new Allerians.

Liiiiiiiimbeeeeeerg!
Here's to hoping my efforts pay off and we get a lovely, WELCOMED new neighbor.

And I'll leave you with a few comments from our dear, dear residents.

Oh my. Pete likes it rough.

Oh, Marcel. Can you get any more adorable?

Poor Chrissy. But going up to Gracie with a shitty Alleria flag design I made in two minutes is fashion suicide.

What more could be said?

Bunny Day

So Bunny Day was pretty cool. Apart from the whole 'I know I'm tearing up grass' thing, it was a lot of fun and a good change of pace from the day to day activities.
When I approached Town Hall, I heard some pretty festive music...it was pretty catchy.
And then Zipper T. Bunny came into view.
And I thought, "This is a guy I want to dance with!"

So I spent about 20 minutes dancing with this guy.

Joan didn't think it was very funny. She just stood there and stared for a bit.

Finally, I thought it was about time to talk to this guy and find out what it was he wanted me to do. Unfortunately I found out a bit TOO much information.

Whoops.
But the egg hunting went fine. For the most part, the dig spots were easy to find and close together.

Even my boyfriend got into it and helped me look for the brown stars.

After awhile I got the whole set and was excited to set it up in my main room. I was getting pretty tired of the Festivale furniture set (that was incomplete anyway). So after a bit of re-arranging, I set up the whole Egg set. The whole gaudy thing.

I don't even like eggs.
But it's a change and change is good. I guess it'll give me motivation to plan what my main room really should be.

Other than that, things are about the same in Alleria. Static seems to have the scoop on the new girl...

...and our friendship is as close as they get. I think?

That is a compliment, right? Or does that mean I'm uppity and over-priced??

Phineas gave me a Bunny Day present.

I match! For once.
And look who's coming to the city a whole lot....

Gaaaaastooooooon. He doesn't look happy to see me.

And I guess the Duck Hunt was successful. Miranda came up to me and mentioned that she is thinking about moving. Shame that the original duck in town is the one forced out...but that's how the cookie crumbles, I suppose. One down, one (or two!) to go.

Duck Hunt

It's been pretty quiet in Alleria.
Most of us have been enjoying the endless sunshine and pretty spring flowers...not really doing a whole lot.

Static, Avery, and I played train for a bit.
And we've all had an endless amount of inane conversations.

Marcel does seem to have the most. I love him, though.
As expected, Winnie moved on to bigger and better things.

I do kind of miss her now. Especially since somebody new moved into her old spot.

Ugh. Yes, Pompom, we do.
Pompom. Another duck. That brings Alleria a total of 3 ducks: Miranda, Deena, and now Pompom. That also brings Alleria a total of 2 ducks too many.
Miranda was here originally, Deena moved in not too long ago....I believe that gives Miranda first dibs on land. I officially declare it Duck Season in Alleria. But please, if you must take a duck, I ask that you do it humanely. We're all about animal rights around here.
Other than the duck overpopulation, the only other thing of note going on is the Able Sister Drama. Yes, that whole story has finally started to unravel in Alleria.

Label?

Ohhh, Labelle.
Yawn.
Before Pompom moved in, I re-started my campaign to convince Gaston to move to Alleria.

He mostly ignored me when I stopped him in the square at the city. So I took to disguising myself in the hopes he would mistake me for a friend.

I guess it didn't work so well....

I even offered him a balloon!
(One day, Phineas and I were a matching pair!)

And I guess that the word got around that I was recruiting a new Allerian. When I ran into an old pal, Vladimir, I suggested he pack up and move on over. He wasn't very receptive either.

Meh.
After getting ran out of the city, I retired to stalking the neighbors of Alleria.

BUBBLE ATTACK!

What can I say? I live in a town with 10 animals. I think it would drive anybody a little crazy.
And today was the Fishing Tourney. Largest fish wins the purty gold trophy.

Wiiiiiiiinnnnaaaaaa.
Tomorrow is Bunny Day. I'm looking forward to tearing up all my beautiful grass looking for foil for a bunny who will exchange it for egg-shaped furniture. Hurrah.

April Charm

Can it get any easier? Come on over if you would like to reap the benefits.

0603-1490-7578
Name: Sarah
Town: Alleria

Pretty pretty town

Just like in Portland, the trees in Alleria have bloomed in an explosion of PINK.

Yay, April!
With the coming of the new month, a new store appeared....

Ick. Nook reeks of money and insincerity.
So no late night fishing runs, I guess.
And speaking of fish, April also brings fishies to the ponds!

And new pretty fishies to that drab drab ocean.

My new favorite fish!
Oh! Oh! And new bugs!

Have I mentioned how much I like the beginning of new months?!

No, really?!
It was pretty cool that the passing of April Fool's did not go unnoticed in Alleria. Tortimer gave me a leaf (heh heh heh horf) and my animal friends gave their best shots at tricking me.

Silly animals thought they were being pretty clever with their exclamations of Nook having 90% off sales and what not. My favorite was how Alleria had gone bankrupt and we were all going to have to move.

Antonio invited me over to his house the other day. Apparently, he isn't as desperate and lonely as Static and Rhonda proved to be.

He DOES seem to be outside more often than not.

Ha. I love Antonio but he's such a bull-shitter. He bought that loach from me on the last Flea Market Day.
Also, I found out that when your neighbors ask you what time you want to visit, you can set the clock for as little as 30 minutes ahead of the current time but still go over to their house and go in right after talking with them. I did this with Antonio because I wasn't sure if I'd still be playing in half an hour and sure enough, he was already in his house waiting for me. I guess animals don't really know how to tell time.

Not many special visitors in Alleria lately. Pete stopped by but it wasn't for any special gifts.

And Wendell was in town yesterday so I planned to catch a fish for him in the evening. Unfortunately after doing my daily chores, I laid down for a cat nap and didn't get up until much later than I expected. Darn you, work week! I guess I'll have to wait until next time to get that Nook pattern.
SPEAKING OF PATTERNS.... [Begin rant] Maybe you noticed something different in a few of these pictures, hm? Why, it's actual paths! YES! After much much much frustration and countless wasted hours of my life making and laying patterns, I replaced Alleria's dull hard-to-see green paths for paths that oddly resemble those that you can get from Wendell. I only had the vertical and horizontal paths but ended up making something like 12 variations of them to fit my towns' pathways. It was extremely frustrating trying to make these by scratch with only the two from Wendell to go by. I do not recommend it. Save yourself from insanity and make a simple stone path that will look just as lovely and not take so many different variations of brick-laying. Or be patient and collect the different corners from Wendell.
Since this was my first major pattern making adventure in City Folk, I'm dumbfounded by how STUPID the pattern maker is on this game. I really wish you could do simple things like rotate or flip patterns. That would of shaved 5 hours off this stupid project. And using the Wii-mote to make intricate designs is insanely maddening. I wonder if the designers got a good laugh thinking about how some dumb rube would sit there for hours trying to make a single pattern system for their town. Ugh. [End Rant]
But I have to say the end result is pretty damn cute.

I'm happy how it turned out, for the most part. In hindsight, I could of made a much easier path design but I really like the two patterns I had from Wendell. I figured the rest wouldn't be so hard. Ha. Well, it turned out worth it.

And last but not least, it looks like Winnie has come to her decision. She's leaving to follow her dream of becoming a mermaid.

Good luck, Winnie.
